Hilton London Metropole - cleaning on a grand scale
With 1,054 guestrooms and the capacity to hold conferences for 3,000 delegates, the Hilton London Metropole is the largest hotel in the UK and one of the largest in Europe.
Extensive dining and banqueting facilities are also a key feature and the hotel has an army of catering staff to keep pace with its food and beverage demands. As an example, the hotel prepares in the region of 30,000 breakfasts every month.
Helping to support the Hilton London Metropole’s vast catering operation is WGC, the cleaning services company that has the contract to clean the hotel’s kitchens and provide stewarding services.
The Hilton London Metropole has one centralised kitchen together with a further seven satellite kitchens and WGC provides the personnel to maintain these throughout the day as well taking responsibility for carrying out deep cleaning during the night.
WGC is also responsible for providing housekeeping, window cleaning and public area cleaning at the Hilton London Metropole.
